Book a no-obligation solar survey at a time that suits you. A surveyor visits your home to check your roof, shading, electrics and the best location for an inverter and battery, so your quote is based on your actual property rather than a guess from satellite images.
What the survey covers
The surveyor looks at roof orientation, pitch, condition and shading, measures available roof space, checks the fuse board and main fuse, and looks for a suitable cool, dry location for a battery. They will also ask about your electricity use and any future plans.

How long it takes
Most home surveys take around an hour. Someone over 18 needs to be at home, and access to the loft and fuse board is helpful. For tenements and flats, it helps to know who owns the roof.
Afterwards, we prepare a written design and quote that shows the full price and expected generation.
No pressure
The survey comes with no obligation. If solar is not right for your home, we will tell you.
What happens after you get in touch
We start by asking a few questions about your home, your roof and how you use energy, then arrange a no-obligation survey at a time that suits you. Surveys cover the whole of Scotland, from Dumfries and Galloway to the Highlands and islands, including tenements, cottages, bungalows and modern homes.
After the survey you receive a written quote showing the system design, the equipment, the expected generation for your roof and the full price. There is no obligation and no pressure to decide on the day. If you go ahead, we arrange the network notification with SP Energy Networks or SSEN, schedule scaffolding and installation, and provide your certificates and warranty documents once the system is commissioned. Finance available, subject to status.
How our survey works
Every project starts with a no-obligation survey. We look at your roof orientation, pitch, shading and condition, your fuse board and meter position, where a battery or inverter could go, and how your household uses electricity through the day and across the Scottish seasons. You then receive a written quote showing the equipment, the expected generation for your roof and the full price, so you can compare it fairly. We handle the network connection paperwork with your local distribution network operator, which is SP Energy Networks in central and southern Scotland and SSEN in the north, Highlands and islands. We install through MCS-certified partners. Solar panels and batteries are 0% VAT until March 2027. Finance available, subject to status.
Frequently asked questions
Can I book an evening or weekend survey?
Ask when booking and we will do our best to fit around your schedule.
Do you need to go on the roof?
Usually not. Most surveys are done from the ground, the loft and with drone or camera images where needed.
What if I live in a flat?
We can still survey, but shared roofs need the agreement of other owners before any installation.
