Use the finance checker to get a feel for whether spreading the cost of solar and a battery could work for your household. It is a guide only. For domestic customers, finance available, subject to status, and any finance offer is confirmed in writing with your quote.
What the checker does
The checker asks some simple questions about your household and budget and gives an indication of whether paying in instalments could suit you. It does not run a credit check and does not affect your credit score.

Before you borrow
Compare the total amount repayable with paying upfront, check that monthly payments fit comfortably within your budget, and read the credit agreement before signing. If you are unsure, take independent advice.
Solar panels and batteries are 0% VAT until March 2027.
Next steps
If you would like a firm figure, request a no-obligation survey. Your written quote shows the full price, and finance details are provided alongside it.
What happens after you get in touch
We start by asking a few questions about your home, your roof and how you use energy, then arrange a no-obligation survey at a time that suits you. Surveys cover the whole of Scotland, from Dumfries and Galloway to the Highlands and islands, including tenements, cottages, bungalows and modern homes.
After the survey you receive a written quote showing the system design, the equipment, the expected generation for your roof and the full price. There is no obligation and no pressure to decide on the day. If you go ahead, we arrange the network notification with SP Energy Networks or SSEN, schedule scaffolding and installation, and provide your certificates and warranty documents once the system is commissioned. Finance available, subject to status.
How our survey works
Every project starts with a no-obligation survey. We look at your roof orientation, pitch, shading and condition, your fuse board and meter position, where a battery or inverter could go, and how your household uses electricity through the day and across the Scottish seasons. You then receive a written quote showing the equipment, the expected generation for your roof and the full price, so you can compare it fairly. We handle the network connection paperwork with your local distribution network operator, which is SP Energy Networks in central and southern Scotland and SSEN in the north, Highlands and islands. We install through MCS-certified partners. Solar panels and batteries are 0% VAT until March 2027. Finance available, subject to status.

Can I pay off finance early?
